LUSK RANCH

This is the first posting in over a year. Sorry we did not post in 2008. The year started off awful and got continunally worse. John's mother, Grace Morgan Lusk, passed away Feb. 13, 2008 which was devastating. Then "K" spent more than 100 days in the hospital during 2008. She had numerous Porphyria attacks and was trying to learn triggers to stay away from.  She spent 26 days from Jan. - Feb. of this year in Bowie Memorial. We have finally after numerous tests found that she is allergic to Yeast and Wheat and since she has cut those along with other things from her diet she seems to be feeling better. Hooray!!

Now down to business, Lusk Ranch has a new partner, Juan Saucedo! He and his wife, Elizabeth and daughter, Ashanty became part of the Lusk Ranch Family in January. Which will allow Lusk Ranch to finally build into what Pop (Paul Lusk) wanted. Which allows me to fulfill the promise "K" and I made to him.

We have 8 horses in training and hope to be racing at Lone Star Park by the middle of May. "K" is set to take her Trainer's License test next week!!

I believe we finally have the stars correctly aligned to make this into a good and prosperous year and allow us to start making the business count.

PS: "K" bought me a commercial style dehydrator for Christmas.  I started making Jerky again. I can't seem to keep any around long so I will probably start making alot more soon.

Keep up with me through this blog. And with the training with the pictures and info. Remember we are still on dial up so it takes a full couple of hours to upload info.
